Clyde took two highly-figured cherry slabs from the same tree, book-matched and joined them by a walnut center, then set off the whole thing with turquoise inlays to form this handsome table. “I like to preserve the integrity of the tree and natural flow of the cherry grain,” said Clyde. Sticks ‘n Stones was the first slab-style dining table with turquoise inlays that Clyde built, and it now graces a customer’s home. As with any truly pretty thing of nature, there's so much going on, it's hard to take it all in. Striking character, rare burl, really live edge, single-slab top, turquoise inlays--it all adds up to an exciting table. But wait, there's more! This 96" long and 32" up to 44" wide table can accommodate as many as ten diners. Our woodgenius added a simple walnut base for a classic touch! This rare table sold, headed to Florida. Description: Turned out pretty well for firewood, wouldn't you say? This white oak tree blew over on the Woodgenius' land, and even he said, "Firewood." This time, it took our Sawmill Genius, Russ, to rescue the tree and saw it into slabs. And it took Mrs. Woodgenius' frequent suggestions before our Woodgenius finally created a dining table. Gorgeous, wouldn't you say? Bookmatched white oak slabs with feathered crotch grain, spalted grain, and interesting red streaks. All set off with Lapis inlays, on a trestle base.
